Quote of the Week

I am giving the website a make over and more features! Can’t wait to share with you. I am learning along the way! Ah! Thank goodness for YouTube!
This past weekend, we spent the day on the farm riding snowmobiles, sledding, being pulled on sled behind snowmobile, and even some winter walks on the farm. It was a beautiful winter day with the sun shining down on all the beauty of the farmland.
At one point, my little man asked me to ride with him on snowmobile to go explore. And I am so glad it did. We went to different parts of the creek to look and see what we could find. We found many different animal tracks and made up stories of what kind of animal it was and what were they doing. I took in the beauty of the ice surrounding each tree branch with snow then on top. The snow and ice glistened so brightly and sparkled in the sunlight. All you could think is, ” WOW, this is so beautiful. God’s creation is amazing in so many ways.”
A few times as Lance was exploring I found myself wanting to go back where everyone else was. But then I saw the excitement in his eyes, the discovery he was making on his own to show me, and knew my time was meant there with him to enjoy.
We tend to want to be here, be there, be everywhere, when sometimes we just need to stop and be present. And truly be present in the moment. The moments in life come and go so quickly. So if we can take the time and really try to be in the present, I think not only our children will love it, so will we.
And it was all capped off with one of the best Mother/Son moments, I hope to never forget. Lance said to me on our ride back, ” Mommy, you make my heart so happy.” And that is what life is all about. I thank God for that moment in time and will try to continue to be present. Truly present in moments that will be remembered forever.
How true is this statement? I am guilty of this myself. I wait to use special items such as dishes or an outfit for the perfect occasion. And as we all have learned this past year, life can come to a pause over night and we are quarantined going no where. I had a few new spring tops ready to go for Church and other events that still remain in closet with tags. Bummer. Now that I could not control but know of times I have waited to use something or do something with kids and just like that the moment passes or never happens.
So I have taken note of this and don’t wait anymore. Life, our beautiful lives are happening each moment of everyday. So let’s ENJOY it and use the finest China for a simple Sunday dinner, do the things you want to do and just do them! No excuses, no uncertainty, no overthinking, Just Do It ( Thanks Nike). You will be so glad you did. Each and every moment alive is a special occasion.

You have many talents, even if you think you don’t. We all have something we are good at. Think deep on what your talents are. Then think what you can do with those talents.
Can you make something for someone that would make them so happy you thought of them to make it for? Can you cook something that helps a new mom with dinner? Can you bake something for someone who loves chocolate and you want to make them smile? Can you help someone with their finances when they are at a loss on their financial plan? Can you start a prayer chain at your Church and email blast it to members of your Church?
Whatever talents you have, big, small, technical, creative, etc., whatever they may be, use them FOR THE GOOD of our God. He placed those special talents of yours inside your heart for a reason. Not for those talents to be unused. But be used FOR THE GOOD of our God.
What will you do with your God given talents today?

Happy New Year!!! Isn’t the quote above just a great one? I mean it is a thinker one I say. Like one you read and then think about a few times later and reflect on your thoughts.
One of my favorite things and not only do I think this with a “whole year” new calendar but beginning of each month, ” What is going to happen this year or this month that will fill in all these blank spots of the calendar?!?!?” I then say prayer that it is all good things and thank God for being there with me each and every moment of the days ahead.
So with this New Year upon us, I wish you a year full of love, laughter, time with family and friends, and enjoy the moments that matter, the true meaning ones. Can’t wait to see what amazing things God has in store for all of us in 2021!

We all have a story to share. We all have something to say. But what if your words are just what someone needs to hear? What if a simple, ” Hello.” (even with a mask on), to a stranger walking by makes that person feel acknowledged? What if you saying ” Thank you for your help!” to a worker makes them feel appreciated? These are just two super simple words that can speak volume to people. With the world the way it is today, let’s use our own words to make a difference in someone’s life.
Will you join me in doing so?
I feel this Psalm is fitting for right now. With more COVID-19 issues and spreading going on, we seem to be back in distress and worry mode. We all must remember, God has us taken care of and to turn to Him when in doubt of world suffering. There is hope in the Lord today and always.
Seek His word if you are feeling overwhelmed and scared again during the rise in cases. Stay safe and healthy my friends!
