Walk MS 2023 was a HUGE SUCCESS thanks to all of you! With over 80 amazing family and friends who walked in support of ending MS, it was a day to remember!

Thank you for all the generous donations to help raise (for my team alone) over $9,000!!!! I will post the total from raised from the St. Charles location when I find out.

Thank you to all who took their time out of their busy lives to walk, support from wherever you were, and the love yesterday!

To say THANK YOU to all of you just doesn’t seem enough but I truly hope you all know and feel my love and gratitude. I would not be in this ABLE state without the funds to help research this disease, therefore improving the lives all those living with MS.

Over the weekend, a friend and I went to see a fellow mom and friend of ours speak at her church. She was AMAZING! I wanted to share one of her points that really stood out for me. Truly her whole speech did so I am sure I will share more in posts to come.

First one is this: You cannot imitate from a distance.

Powerful, wouldn’t you say? If we do not center ourselves in God how can we imitate all His good works? We need to take the time to build on relationship with God and in our Bibles. Big or small ways will add up and we can then truly imitate all the good we are here to share. But we cannot do this if we are so far drawn from God. We cannot do this by just getting by with our relationship and teachings from God. We need to continually strengthen and make a priority in our lives every day.

I encourage you today to start where you are in your life by strengthening your faith and be a follower of our God in all the ways to imitate for the good of Him. Be close and be near to all the good works of God.

I love the “realness” of this quote. Not even sure if that is a real word or not ha! But it is so true. I saw this first hand too once at a MS Support Group. There was a girl in the group that was close to my age. She had the worst attitude, was not happy, and even admitted she gave up because she has MS. I will never forget her asking me this next question. “Why are you so happy? You have MS.” I looked at her in complete shock to have someone ask the question of why are you so happy? I answered her with, ” Well, as much as I do not like this disease, I want to stay positive for myself and my loved ones. No one wants to be around someone who is always in a bad mood or complains all the time. Plus, it is way more exhausting being negative than be positive.” She looked at me like I was the crazy one. We all know that I am usually the crazy one but I would rather be the POSITIVE crazy one than not.

I will be the first to admit, I am not always positive. There are days I am not. There are days that are super hard to see the positive in the day. There are situations that make seeing anything positive come out of it. And I have learned, that is okay! We can get down but not stay there long, and regain our positive outlook when we are ready. It is okay. I want you to know that too. There are always better days ahead and guess what? You have made it through all those days or moments where you didn’t think you could. So keep your head high and never give up!

Happy Valentine’s Day my friends! This quote is one I hold near and dear to my heart. My Grandpa Rolison had this scripture engraved on the inside of his ring. And could there not be anymore truth to it? Where there is love, so much is possible. Where there is love, there is compassion and hope. Where there is love, there is change and inspiration. So today as we celebrate Valentine’s Day, remember not just today but always to LOVE. Just simply love with all your heart on what matters most to you.

God’s love is never ending. It is a love that never goes away. A love that you know in your heart is true and unbinding. The way we follow in God’s teachings and ways shows our love for HIM. After all, God gave us His only son Jesus for us to have eternal life. Now that is love! So we are rooted in His love and we are established in love when God created each of us for his purpose. How amazing is that my friends?
