I donated a children’s book, A Girl with a Cape, by Amy Logan, to my friend, Lindsay’s first grade class. The book is about doing good things while wearing the cape. I really think we need to instill doing good right away in our children to help make this world a better place for all.
4th Act of Kindness
My Acts of Kindness Update
I am experiencing technical difficulties uploading my picture documents of my latest 30 Acts of Kindness:(
So to keep you updated, I will write them out until I can get this resolved.
4th: Bought the customer behind at the Starbucks drive thru’s order.
5th: Donated a Children’s book, A Girl with a Cape, to my friend Lindsay’s first grade class. The books talks about doing good in the world while wearing a cape. Super cute!
6th: Made homemade banana bread for my nurse, Mary, at my treatment office. She is such a great lady who I am lucky to have as my nurse.
7th: I can not seem to remember or find a pic so I will be redoing this one!
8th: Bought a new product for a client at a hair show that I thought she would like to try out.
9th: This one is different. I was at Michael’s craft store and the lady in front of me was having trouble with her debit card not going through. She did not speak very good English either and said she would try to get her friend in the store somewhere to come pay. I offered the cashier to pay for it for her and she said to wait to ask the lady. As much as I just wanted to pay for it, we waited. The lady came back with friend I offered again to her, and she hugged me saying God will bless you! Her friend paid for it so that didn’t work. It was after this that I feel an act of kindness was spread. A woman behind me started to tear up and said it was the nicest thing she had seen in a while to have someone offer to help someone else out. The woman behind her said, this is what Christmas should be about, that was a sweet offer by you and they both hugged me too. I said but I didn’t pay for it, and they said that did not matter, it was the principal of the act of kindness. The cashier even said she has never seen anyone be that nice to a stranger. It was great! Wish I could of paid but think I left a mark in the other women in line to pay it forward one day too.
10th: Made cookies for our mail carrier who is always so sweet to our girls when she sees us. She is a twin herself so she said she gets so much joy out of watching our girls grow up.

MS 101
Here is an article from Medical News Today explaining the different stages of MS.
The Four Courses Of Multiple Sclerosis
There are 4 courses of the disease. In each case, the MS may be mild, moderate or severe.
Relapsing-Remitting MS (RRMS): Over 80% of patients start off with this type.
- Relapsing – there are acute and unpredictable “exacerbations” (acute attacks, also called “flare-ups”). During this period symptoms get worse.
- Remitting – and then there are periods of full or partial recovery. Sometimes there is no recovery.
- The attacks may evolve over days or even weeks, and recovery can take weeks, or even months. In between the attacks there is calm, and symptoms do not worsen.
Primary-Progressive MS (PPMS): About 15% of patients have this type.
- There are no clear relapses or remissions.
- The progression of the disease is steady.
- It is the most common form of MS in those who develop the disease after 40 years of age.
Secondary-Progressive MS (SPMS):
- Starts off as a relapsing-remitting type of MS. Relapses and partial recoveries occur.
- However, in between cycles the disability does not go away.
- Eventually it becomes a progressive disease with no cycles.
- The progressive stage may start very early on, years, or even decades later.
Progressive-Relapsing MS (PRMS): The least common form.
- Symptoms worsen progressively, steadily
- There are acute attacks. Some recovery may follow, or may not.
- In the early stage, it seems the patient has primary progressive MS.

3rd Act of Kindness
August 12th, 2014
My 3rd Act of Kindness was 5 meals for our neighbor down the way who is fighting breast cancer for the second time. I wanted to give something to make things easier for her and her husband during this time. What better than meals already cooked just needing to be heated up!
Keep fighting!
2nd Act of Kindness
August 8th,2014
My 2nd Act of Kindness was to the Dream Big Girls Club at Hessed House in Aurora. The group currently consists of 10 girls. The girls were able to go back to school shopping with donations given. When they got back to Hessed House, the gift bags of “Beauty Items” was there! In them had shampoo, body wash, a loofa, nail polish, hair ties, lip gloss, toothbrush, and toothpaste.
Gena (pictured below) started this group and does such wonderful things for the children at Hessed House. She is an inspiration to me! Thanks Gena for all you do!
